About BioPark Charleroi BioPark Charleroi is one of Belgium's leading life sciences hubs hosting around a hundred companies and 3,500 individuals active in research, development, analysis and production of new drugs, medical devices, and diagnostic methods. These endeavors span diverse fields, including oncology, immune diseases, cell and gene therapy, vaccines, and neurodegenerative diseases, among others. BioPark Charleroi accommodates subsidiaries of major international corporations, SMEs from various countries (France, Spain, Canada, China,..) and Belgian companies that have ascended to global leadership positions. The growth of the campus is supported by three research institutes affiliated with ULB and UMONS, a dedicated training center, 37,500 m² of incubators and the BioPark team (7 FTE). With 60 events organized in 2025, the BioPark is a dynamic ecosystem connecting entrepreneurs, researchers, investors, and institutions to accelerate innovation and facilitate the emergence and growth of new ventures in life sciences.   Your mission As EU Project Manager, you will ensure the effective implementation of EU-funded projects by coordinating activities internally as well as with consortium partners, monitoring progress, and maintaining full compliance with technical and financial requirements.   You will act as the operational backbone of the projects, supporting partners, structuring processes, and ensuring that deliverables, reporting, and governance run efficiently and on time. You combine strong project management expertise with excellent communication and organizational skills, and thrives in an international, multidisciplinary environment in the field of life sciences and health.   Responsibilities Project implementation & coordination  
  • Manage the day-to-day execution of EU-funded projects (e.g., Horizon Europe, Interreg).
  • Monitor tasks, milestones, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Ensure alignment between activities, budgets, and work plans.
  • Financial management & reporting
  • Track expenditures and collect supporting documents (incl. timesheets).
  • Prepare financial contributions and assist with audits.
  • Documentation & administration
  • Maintain accurate and structured project documentation (incl. electronic archiving).
  • Draft interim and final technical reports.
  • Manage contractual documentation.
  • Manage project IT platforms (e.g., JEMS, EC portals, shared workspaces).
  • Stakeholder & partner liaison
  • Coordinate with project partners and external stakeholders.
  • Manage communication flows with EU institutions and funding authorities.
  • Ensure timely collection of inputs and consolidation of contributions.
  • Meeting organization
  • Prepare agendas, presentation, logistics, and materials for project meetings, workshops or project related events.
  • Draft meeting minutes and follow up on agreed actions.
  • Launch of new initiatives
  • Contribute to the positioning of BioPark in new initiatives
  • Prepare new proposals (eligibility checks, partners coordination, content writing).
  • Assist in gathering financial, administrative, and technical inputs.
  • Risk management
  • Identify potential project risks and propose mitigation strategies.
  •   Profile & Skills Must have
  • Education & experience : master's degree or higher in Business, Management, Life Sciences or related field, with 3+ years of hands-on experience in project management (e.g., consulting, EU project(s), innovation initiative(s)).
  • Project management skills : proven proficiency in project cycle management methodologies, planning, processes and monitoring tools (design, structure and implementation).
  • Organizational skills : ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
  • Communication skills : excellent written and oral communication skills in English and French, and the ability to synthetize and communicate complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Interpersonal skills : strong capacity for teamwork, collaboration in international and multicultural environment, negotiation, and stakeholder management.
  • Analytical abilities : structured thinking, problem-solving, ability to translate issues into solution.
  • Hands-on mindset : doer mentality, pragmatic, proactive, and comfortable taking initiatives to drive progress.
  • Affinity with digital tools : proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint) and other relevant tools.
  • Interests in life sciences sector, socio-economic development and regional innovation ecosystems.
  • Nice to have
  • Knowledge of EU funding schemes (e.g.: Horizon Europe, Interreg) is an strong asset but not required as onboarding training and support will be provided.
  • Experience in life sciences sector, socio-economic development and regional innovation ecosystem.
  • Experience with Odoo.
