Our CO2-optimized factory uses renewable raw materials to produce bio-ethanol for the fuel industry. In comparison with fossil fuels we save up to 70% of the greenhouse gas emissions.

Besides bio-ethanol BioWanze also produces ProtiWanze, a protein rich and high quality feed product, as well as gluten for the food and animal feed sector.

HSE Manager

As HSE Manager you are responsible for ensuring compliance with all legal requirements and for further developing and enforcing all BioWanze policies regarding Safety, Health and the Environment on this Seveso site. You are a member of the steering committee of the factory and report directly to the Site Director. Your most important tasks and responsibilities can be described as follows: Lead and coordinate the further development of the HSE policies and programmes for the BioWanze site Ensure adherence to the HSE principles, policies and requirements of the Enterprise Pursue the implementation, control, maintenance and continuous improvement of the HSE management system Ensure the training and operational support regarding all HSE matters towards the Site Director, the steering committee and the management teams so as to obtain all HSE objectives for the factory Establish a robust risk evaluation and risk management programme on the BioWanze site Assure good relations with and excellent reporting to the relevant authorities with regards to all SHE, ADR, SEVESO DCRC and CO2 quota related matters and assure all necessary planning licenses and permits are in place for investment projects Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of all European, national and regional legislation relevant to your SHE domain and ensure its proper application at BioWanze

Profiel

For this challenging and very interesting function with important responsibilities we will only consider candidates who have a proven track record of at least 7 years in an HSE function of responsibility on an industrial production site, preferably dealing with Emission Trading System and SEVESO . Furthermore, candidates need to fulfill following additional requirements: Master¿s degree (in bio-engineering, biotechnology, electro-mechanical or chemical engineering, chemistry); an additional degree in HSE prevention advisor level 1 (¿Conseiller en Prévention niveau 1¿ ) is a must! Excellent spoken and written knowledge of French and English is also a must; good knowledge of Dutch is a plus You have an ADR certification or are willing to obtain it at short notice and you have excellent knowledge of ISO 14001, HAZOP and IED You are a strong HSE leader by example and by passionately instilling a culture of high commitment to safety, health and the environment and to continuously improving in these matters You possess a capacity for rigorous and autonomous work while also being a team player with a sense of taking initiative, respectful behaviour and a positive mindset Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
