As a Network Security Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Managing and deploying security equipment such as firewalls, load balancers, WAF, reverse proxy, and VPNs.
• Supporting core network projects, including the deployment of Cisco SDA.
• Writing and managing the Request for Proposal (RFP) process for hardware security solutions and vendor selection.
• Providing third-line technical support for the security infrastructure.
• Analyzing security solutions and providing recommendations for infrastructure improvements.
• Collaborating with team members and business users to ensure the successful planning, documentation, and deployment of solutions.
• Maintaining and troubleshooting network security devices like Checkpoint and Palo Alto firewalls.

Jouw profiel

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and skills:

• Languages: Fluent in English (mandatory), French and/or Dutch are a plus.
• Education: Master's degree in Civil/Industrial Engineering or similar.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of expertise in WAF, load balancing, and reverse proxy F5 (APM, ASM, LTM).
• Technical Skills:
• Experience with security network engineering (installation, management, troubleshooting).
• Strong knowledge of firewalls (Checkpoint, Palo Alto), VPN (Cisco), and network technologies (BGP, OSPF, spanning-tree).
• Experience in cloud network management (preferably Microsoft Azure) is a plus.
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure and tools (HP Procurve, Windows Active Directory).
• Ability to create and manage the RFP process.
• Awareness of ITIL concepts (preferable).
