Your job

 
As a Senior Azure Data Engineer at Laco, you'll be responsible for

• Designing and implementing cloud solutions that meet the specific needs of an organization
• Ensuring that the cloud solutions that are designed and implemented comply with relevant security and regulatory standards
• Staying up to date with the latest cloud technologies and advancements to provide the organization with the best possible solutions
• Being able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, explaining complex technical concepts in a way that is easy to understand
• Being a true team player, able to rally up the experts and work collaboratively, sharing your knowledge and passion for BI and AI
• Participating in end-to-end projects across various industries and demonstrating leadership skills

 

Your skills

• You have a Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in computer science or equivalent
• You have experience with different data consumption techniques from traditional to more advanced analytics and AI perspective (Power BI, Tableau, Machine Learning)
• Power BI means more to you than shiny graphs (and pie charts)
• You have at least 3 years of experience with Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake or Databricks
• You have at least 5 years of experience with Power BI, Azure Data Factory
• You are fluent in SQL, Python, Spark and DAX
• You have experience with data modeling techniques (Star Schemas, Dimensional Modelling, Kimball)
• You have experience with Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices
• You communicate clearly in Dutch and/or French and English (both written and spoken)
• You are an excellent communicator and are able to have great interactions with clients
• You can make sure your architecture is also future-oriented. You think with an innovation mindset, not only dealing with current technology but also thinking about what's to come

• You can present and defend your solutions in front of clients
• You are able to organize, facilitate and lead workshops
• A Koala, Panda, Python are more to you than just exotic animals or R is not just what pirates shout
• You have (or aim for) the role-based Microsoft Data certifications or Databricks certifications
