Do you want to create the next-generation tools for intuitive data access for transportation operations? Stnd & Auto (S&A) Ops Finance is a WW Ops finance tech org within Amazon. The role will be supporting Amazon Transportation Services (ATS), a transportation finance organization to partner with and contribute to WW S&A tech within Amazon. As part of the transportation, we ship several millions of packages every year to customers on time with high customer excellence.

S&A EU OB Trans is looking for people who strive to support the ATS business with innovative Business Intelligence solutions. You will be part of a growing Business Intelligence team as part of the central Tech organization who support the operations across the EU geography, acting as leader and mentor to your peers. We are looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to help setup and deliver robust, structured reporting, analytics and models for the Air, Sea, Surface Transportation and Sortation and other support teams in the transportation area in Europe. You will be a key contributor to shaping our strategic innovation program by equipping the project teams with the insights into the operation performance. You will be technically mentoring a team of Business Intelligence Engineers and play a thought leadership role in our team - the team will look to you for advice on data architectures and business issues facing them.
The growth of the business and the increasing complexity of the European transportation network make this role an exciting, interesting, and very challenging proposition. The ideal recruit will not only raise the bar on retrieving and analyzing data but demonstrates a strong curiosity to understand the business end-to-end and proactively dive into issues as they arise. The candidate will also have an eye for detail, be proficient/advanced in SQL/DWH/Python and have a knack for solving data and reporting challenges. The role requires to feel comfortable working with and clearly communicating with other functional teams, regionally and globally.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; will be a creative and an analytical problem solver.

Primary responsibilities will include: Maintenance and administration of database to ensure data integrity and incorporation of new business requirements Troubleshooting and debugging complex queries and reports used to support our financial planning/analysis Improvement and automation of reporting for the EU-wide Finance and Business leadership teams. Creation of new, innovative and insightful reports to better track Transportation spent Coordination of various projects such as the redesign and improving the existing tools Providing support for the analysis of current and historic performance ahead of EU-wide business reviews. Profil

Basic Qualifications 5+ years of SQL experience Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results Experience with AWS technologies Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills. Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data mining Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs Experience with SQL Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools Experience in the data/BI space Preferred Qualifications Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership
