NATURE OF TASKS

 
The tasks to be performed include:

1. Analysis of the user interface requirements.
2. Design of wireframes and mock-ups (or other visual prototyping) which lead to intuitive user experience and translation of business concepts into system interface.
3. User interface design specifications.
4. Finding efficient solutions for problems linked to multi-device development (e.g. desktop screen vs. smartphone).
5. Design of user interfaces.
6. Visual prototypes.
7. User-centred approach for evaluation of user interfaces (including usability studies on real stakeholders and/or clients).
8. Elaborate navigation mapping design.
9. Interaction with the business analysts, customer, users, project leaders and the developers.

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

 
Following skills and knowledge are required for the performance of the above listed tasks:

1. Good knowledge of user interface ergonomics.
2. Knowledge of UX design best practices, especially: good understanding of responsive design and mobile-first design.
3. Ability to work with clients and analysts and to understand business vision on high and low level.
4. Willingness to help and openness to receiving feedback for design improvements.
5. Knowledge of Web technologies and standards including at least general knowledge of current legislative regulation.
6. Strong capacity in writing and presenting studies.
7. Very good communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences.
8. Analysis and problem solving skills.
9. Capability to write clear and structured technical documents.

 

SPECIFIC EXPERTISE

 
The following specific expertise is mandatory for the performance of tasks:

1. at least 10 years of specific expertise in working in IT/Web design
2. at least 7 years of specific expertise in working for an EU institution

 

CERTIFICATIONS & STANDARDS

 
The following certificates & standards are required for the performance of tasks:

1. Completed training in Drupal 8
2. Completed training in Web design
