Umicore's refining and recycling technology gives used metals a new lease of life. We are experts in treating the most complex materials from around the world. Our processes help bring value to the circular economy and reduce environmental impacts. To recover more metal from different types of material we cannot stand still. We need to find new ways to do things, discover new solutions and develop new processes. Which is where you come in. What you will be doing As EHS Reporting and IT Solutions Manager you are responsible for the globally used EHS (Environment, Health, Safety) digital solutions and for the Group EHS reporting processes. The jobholder will lead the development, implementation, maintenance and update of EHS global digital solutions, according to the Business IT strategy and digitalisation roadmap, aligned with the EHS Senior Management Team and other relevant internal stakeholders, ensuring the long-term development of the data engineering architecture and core competences. The jobholder is also responsible for managing the EHS reporting process, ensuring data reliability and accurate and timely reporting, as well as developing data analytics for performance improvement. The position is located at our office in the center of Brussels. Your Responsibilities EHS reporting and analytics Lead and manage the EHS reporting process, ensuring data reliability, accurate and timely reporting and compliance to internal and external reporting requirements. Identify reporting gaps, issues and opportunities for improvement, followed by appropriate corrective and improvement actions. Coordinates the development of dashboards, data analytics and EHS business intelligence information for performance improvement. Perform regular data quality checks and support data integrity audits. Maintain updated process documentation, including procedures, operating manuals and instructions. EHS global digital solutions Lead the development, implementation, maintenance and update of EHS global digital solutions. Lead and manage project ENHANS (EHS enterprise management platform), including deployment strategy, communication, user adoption and change management (corporate and BU's), software setup operating model to support globally, arrange power user training. Develop and pursue the implementation of the EHS digitalization roadmap, with a balanced approach between short and long term needs. Assess requests for EHS digital solutions and platforms from BU's and regions, working closely with the digitalization team. Stay up to date with EHS digital solutions landscape, providing guidance and advice for the long term development of such solutions for Umicore at global level. Manage contracts and service level of external providers and internal services. General Lead and manage the Performance Management team, with 2 direct reports, setting clear goals and expectations, monitoring progress, and providing regular feedback. Liaise and collaborate with the IT/IS team to ensure alignment on system developments and proper support to operational issues Maintain a strong network with the EHS leads from BUs and regions to anticipate development needs, provide operational support for EHS digital solutions and ensure accurate and timely reporting. Who we are looking for You have a Master degree in the domains of EHS (e.g. safety or environmental management) Minimum 5 years of experience in implementation and management of EHS digital solutions Solid operational understanding of EHS/ESG reporting processes and systems, including metrics, data collection and reporting requirements (internal and external) Experience in designing and developing (customized) EHS reports and performance dash-boarding Solid experience in project management You are fluent in English (spoken & written) Dutch or French is nice to have Your are open minded, innovative, showing initiative and able to develop new concepts and to deliver creative solutions Highly motivated and self-driven, with personal drive for change and improvement Good interpersonal skills; able to build networks with stakeholders at all levels Good communication and presentation skills, adaptable to different target audiences What we offer We aim to lead the way.
