Amazon Air EU continues to grow, while keeping all of our Air Gateway associates and equipment safe. To help us achieve this, we're seeking a motivated Manager Air Safety with strong experience in safety management systems, AIR safety operations, Cargo Operations, aircraft ground handling and auditing. The successful candidate will have project management skills that involve a capacity to consider technical accuracy, analytical and communication capabilities, and a hands-on enthusiasm to deliver fit-for-purpose safety standards, procedures and best practices across the European and Cargo Program Expansion Network
Your primary role will be to coordinate critical cargo safety programs execution among a team of developers that align technical content with the enablement of your Operations Partner's ownership of the programs. Additionally, this includes, identifying process improvement opportunities, and influencing cross-functional stakeholders. You will thrive in a flexible environment and not hindered by ambiguity. Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytic talent, and leadership are essential, prescribing improvement strategies and guiding the improvement effort to effective implementation. You will maintain close relationships with our stakeholders in order to understand our highest priority execution targets and opportunities that have a significant, measurable impact across our Global Programs framework. You will work collaboratively across business units and geographies assisting in the development of the long-term strategy and operational direction for Air Safety and Cargo programs. You will be a motivated leader of others with a proven record of accomplishment developing competency in team members.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to: Assisting with the delivery of safety performance and monitoring, in line with personnel, team and functional goals and objectives Reviewing and assessing AIR Cargo Ground Handling providers capacity and capabilities Facilitating safety at EU AIR Gateways and supporting the global Air Safety/WHS and EUAIR team of Amazon on relevant projects. Supporting the implementation of safety programs within Air Gateway Operations, and monitoring the EU Gateways WHS Safety Audit/Oversight Program. Identify and implement process improvements. Driving and monitoring compliance with Amazon AIR WHS standards and local (national), EU aviation legislation Conducting safety investigations and implementing incident prevention programs Ensuring that AIR Safety and WHS data systems and metrics are kept accurate, maintaining all required supporting documentation Assisting with the coordination and training of new team members Arranging, facilitating and contributing to AIR Safety related meetings and business reviews. Supporting the launch of new Gateways and the assessment of Cargo Program sites/destinations (within or outside EU) In particular, Collaborate with EU and North America (NA) stakeholders to align on program goals and resources, specifically focused on an ISO 45001, SMS Standard and Airline's Ground Ops Manual/IATA standards implementation. Develop, review, approve and improve Global WHS Programs' internal policies and procedures in the respect of the countries WHS Legal and Amazon Global Standards requirements. Develop and improve WHS Change Management processes and recommend improvements to programs scoping, building, testing and deployment across the company. Monitor and implement metrics to measure and communicate EUAIR WHS program achievements. Communicate the overall program roadmap and provide periodic status updates to EUAIR and NA stakeholders. Contribute and/or own the Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly Business reviews and developments for WHS and AIR Safety. Coordinate a portfolio of projects from inception to delivery. These may also be global in nature. This role will report to EUAIR WHS leader. Work with stakeholders and partners, including Operations, Audits, and Training to develop programs effectively and support effective implementation. Assess and perform safety observations at new destinations/sites as part of the Cargo expansion program (when and if required within or outside EU). Provide programs decision support, insights and recommendations through data gathering and information analyzing. Profil
Basic Qualifications BSc in Engineering, program/project or Business management, supply chain, or AIR/Aviation Management/ Aviation Safety related fields Previous working experience on a related field/organisation to the job description Previous experience with Audits related to aircraft ground handling / ground operations Familiar with aircraft arrival, departure, loading and unloading procedures, including Weight and Balance Previous experience on Aircarft Operations, Planning and execution Knowledge of EASA regulations, ICAO SMS, and IATA/IOSA/ISAGO standards Experience on implementing programs and delivering projects on time and IAW the business case Previous experience on AIR / Ground Ops incident investigation Experience on supply chain and logistics Preferred Qualifications Previous working experience with AMZN AIR operations Previous working experience with Program management Lean Six Sigma qualification Master level degree qualification SMS qualificationAttention, un employeur ne peut pas vous demander de lui communiquer des données sensibles.
