To reinforce our Quality team, we are looking for a Quality Engineer.


As part of the quality team, you will contribute to the company and departmental goals by upholding the highest quality standards possible during the Operation & Maintenance (O&M) of our different windfarms in Belgium and Germany. You will be a member of Parkwind's quality department, where you will take up responsibilities as Quality Engineer for the O&M organization and support the QA officer in the development and roll out of the corporate Quality Management System. You will work in close collaboration with the O&M asset managers and Parkwind's quality department. The main responsibilities of the Quality Engineer are: On Operation & Maintenance (O&M) level: · Follow-up quality notifications (non-conformities, observations and opportunities for improvements) of all operational windfarms, including review/approval of correction, containment actions, root cause analysis and corrective action. Support the O&M asset managers with all quality aspects of O&M campaigns: o Managing and hiring of QC inspectors; o Review quality documentation: method statements, Inspection & Test plans, Contractors records, daily progress reports to ensure the contractor compliance to the requirements set by Parkwind; o Support the selection (tender documents) monitoring and evaluation of O&M suppliers/Contractors, and attend supplier/contractor meetings that include quality topics; Follow up and ensure daily and monthly reporting on Quality related topics; o Perform supplier quality audits and evaluations. · Further develop the O&M quality strategy and implement this on all windfarms. · Define quality requirements for the O&M scope of works · Manage the quality performance of the contractors. · Follow-up the Lessons Learned process and implementation. Attend (where necessary) internal (team) meetings that include quality topics. Act as point of contact for internal and external clients on Quality management at O&M. On a Corporate level: Support the development and implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS), compliant with the ISO 9001 standard. o Roll out the quality processes in the O&M organization in Ostend (Belgium) and Mukran (Germany) Continuously execute, follow up and improve Quality procedures. Support the O&M team to develop and improve the quality processes. o Perform internal quality audits. You will report to the quality manager.

Profil

Engineering background is preferred or you have the required equivalent experience. Experience with quality (supply) management on operational level Preferably about three years of relevant experience (recent graduated are also considered) Knowledge of international quality management system standard (ISO 9001) is required Knowledge of turbines, high voltage electricity, mechanical works such as welding and corrosion protection (coating) is considered an advantage Able to understand technical documents and drawings Strong analytical, organizational, problem solving and process thinking skills A pragmatic approach with positive mindset Ability to work independently and being proactive (there is plenty of room for taking initiatives) Strong verbal and written communication skills Professional level of English (spoken and written) is a must. Other languages are an asset Fluent with MS Office (Excel, Power Point, Visio, Outlook) and other applications 2 days/week @ office (O&M office Ostend preferred / HQ Leuven possible) Willing to travel abroad occasionally (up to 10%) for short periods (2-3 days) Willing to go offshore (GWO training will be provided)
