afarax is looking for a freelance Functional Designer. We need you!
Our client in the insurance sector, is seeking an experienced Functional Designer to strengthen their team.

Main objectives

• Be in charge of translating business requirements into a structured IT solution while keeping a functional approach.
• Help translating this functional design into well-tailored technical design.
• Prepare functional integration test cases based on the requirements
• Test the product before delivery to the users
• Analyse potential corrective actions to be taken.
• Coordinate technical designers and programmers during implementation of functionalities.
• Work closely with the business to ensure the final solution fits their needs.
• Actively support the Project leaders in the project implementation.

Is this you?

• Experience with Application Development of Administrative systems in an IT department
• Able to capture main topics in discussions with technical IT people
• Mastering of MS-Office tools
• Strong understanding of Source code Cobol MicroFocus and SQL server
• Web based Client/Server systems with MF back-end (Cobol MicroFocus / SQL server)
• Batch process experience
• Cobol MicroFocus / SQL server programming experience
• .NET ; SQL
• Functional analysis
• IT solution design on large scale projects
• Agile & Waterfall project methodology
• Architectural design
