Data Platform & Insights Lead M/V/X

As a Data Platform & Insights Lead, you'll be both the architect and the builder of a smarter, data-driven future. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll define the vision for the data platform and actively deliver the solutions that bring it to life.

You'll lead the transformation of an existing data warehouse into a modern, scalable, and self-service analytics environment, built on Azure Databricks and integrated with AWS-native components. Your work will enable faster, better-informed decision-making through reliable, actionable insights.

You'll collaborate closely with both local stakeholders and global data and engineering teams to ensure architectural alignment, delivery consistency, and a shared commitment to data excellence.

• Design and build a modern data platform to support both operational reporting and advanced analytics.
• Lead the migration from legacy systems to a cloud-native, self-service BI environment.
• Develop and maintain reliable, high-performance data pipelines and models.
• Deliver insightful Power BI dashboards and semantic models that drive strategic decisions.
• Collaborate with global data and engineering teams on architecture, governance, and delivery standards.
• Ensure data quality, platform reliability, and security across the full lifecycle.
• Act as a trusted advisor, translating business needs into scalable, maintainable solutions.

Profil

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, BI development, or analytics architecture.
• Proven ability to design and deliver end-to-end data solutions in a cloud environment.
• Strong skills in SQL, data modeling, and pipeline orchestration.
• Experience with Power BI and familiarity with Python or other scripting languages.
• Understanding of modern data architectures (e.g., lakehouse, semantic layers, self-service BI).
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to bridge business and technical discussions.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in Dutch and/or French is a strong plus.
• Comfortable working in an international, multicultural environment.
