Our client is a medium-sized company operating in the retail industry. They are committed to providing excellent customer service and maintaining a high standard of professionalism within their team.

Description de la fonction

The Commercial Officer supports the Product Manager and the Trading Team in ensuring smooth commercial processes and effective product category management. The role combines administrative coordination, supplier contact, and promotional support, with a strong focus on assisting in product-related activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in defining and preparing promotion strategies for product categories each semester.
  • Support the selection of products based on Marketing Team briefings.
  • Help negotiate promotional conditions with suppliers (e.g., contributions to promotional folders, purchase price discounts).
  • Represent the product category during trading meetings, together with the Product Manager, and help present product selections.
  • Review promotional folders for commercial attractiveness (price, product, text, image).
  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers to prepare promotional materials ("promobooks").
  • Coordinate the trading process with the Trading Team, Product Managers, Product Data Specialists, and other stakeholders.
  • Handle administrative tasks to ensure smooth execution of the trading process.
  • Provide support in resolving store-specific issues not handled by the store supply team.

Profil

We are looking for a Commercial officer that :

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional level.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a commercial support role.
  • Experience in a complex organization; retail experience is an advantage.
  • Fluency in at least two languages: Dutch, French, English.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills; knowledge of SAP is a plus.
  • Customer-oriented, proactive, and supportive mindset.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Analytical and structured approach.
