Business Consultant - Banking & Regulatory Compliance M/V/X

We are looking for a Business Consultant with solid experience in the banking sector and a strong understanding of regulatory compliance frameworks.
In this role, you will advise our banking and financial clients on strategic, regulatory, and operational challenges, helping them to comply with evolving regulations while optimizing their business performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise clients in the banking and financial services sector on regulatory, risk, and compliance challenges.
• Lead or support consulting engagements related to regulatory frameworks such as BCBS (Basel Committee on Banking Supervision), Basel III/IV, MiFID II, AML/KYC, PSD2, GDPR, DORA, and ESG.
• Analyse business processes and identify opportunities for improvement, efficiency, and digital transformation.
• Translate regulatory requirements into actionable business and IT solutions.
• Collaborate closely with client stakeholders and Inetum project teams to deliver high-quality consulting outcomes.
• Support pre-sales activities, including proposal preparation, client presentations, and knowledge sharing.

• Monitor market and regulatory developments to maintain expertise and provide strategic insights.

   

Profil

Profile

• At least 3 years of experience as a Business Consultant or Business Analyst within the banking or financial services industry.
• Strong knowledge of banking operations, compliance processes, and risk management.
• Demonstrated experience with one or more regulatory frameworks, including BCBS, Basel III/IV, MiFID II, AML/KYC, PSD2, DORA, ESG, and GDPR.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong client orientation and ability to work effectively in dynamic, multicultural environments.
• Languages:
  • Dutch: mandatory
  • English: required
  • French: a strong asset

Nice to Have

• Experience in digital transformation or RegTech initiatives within the financial services sector.

• Familiarity with project management or agile methodologies.
