Freelance GL Accountant M/V/X

Our client is a Belgian financial services company, offering leasing, financing, and long-term rental solutions for vehicles.
They serve both retail and professional customers, operating in the mobility and vehicle-finance market.

• Reconcile and analyze general ledger accounts and reduce backlog
• Execute month-end closing activities
• Support continuous process improvement and accounting optimization
• Assist with external and internal audits
• Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., collections, operations) and external partners (e.g., insurers, importers) to collect data and ensure accurate posting
• Provide accounting support to other team members

Profil

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent
• Strong hands-on experience in AP/AR/GL accounting
• Analytical mindset with high attention to detail and accuracy
• Fluent in Dutch AND French, good command of English
• Proficient in SAP, with advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, formulas)
• Basic knowledge of Power BI is a plus
• Team player, dynamic, proactive, and willing to support others
