Description de la fonction
Do you want to be the person who makes an entire railway system work seamlessly?
As a Signalling Project Manager Engineer at Buhlmann, you act as a technical consultant: you analyse procedures, detect design errors, advise the project team, and serve as the final checkpoint ensuring that an installation is safe, correct and operational.
A role with major responsibility, visible impact and real influence on decisions - perfect for engineers who want to make a meaningful difference.
About BUHLMANN N.V.
For over 70 years, BUHLMANN N.V. has been a trusted player in railway systems and signalling in Belgium. We stand out through deep technical expertise, a strong hands-on mentality, and a problem-solving mindset. Unlike large engineering firms with narrow roles, our engineers and project managers oversee the entire project cycle: from engineering and prototyping to installation, commissioning, maintenance, and technical interventions. This results in a technically rich, challenging, and highly educational role with real impact.
We work for major clients such as SNCB/NMBS, STIB/MIVB, De Lijn, TEC, and Lineas, supporting them with:
- Analysis and engineering
- Design and prototyping
- Installation on rail and site locations
- Commissioning and functional validation
- Maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous optimization
We deliver projects such as:
- New switch control systems and level crossings
- Modernization and expansion of existing installations
- Electromechanical systems for workshops facilities
- Maintenance and optimization of hundreds of control installations
- Troubleshooting and technological upgrades
Through strategic partnerships with Pintsch and Hanning-Kahl, we combine in-house technical know-how with continuous service, including preventive maintenance and fast interventions.
We are expanding and looking for a Engineering Project Manager (or similar profiles such as Project Engineer, Technical Project Lead, Railway Engineer, Rolling Stock Specialist, System Engineer) who enjoys taking responsibility for technology, execution, client interaction, and project outcomes and will contribute to improving the railway systems and have a direct societal impact.
More information about our rolling stock activities is available on our website: Buhlmann Rolling Stock.
As a Engineering Project Manager, you are the central point of contact within our railway projects and rolling stock operations. How you work: In a flat organization with fast decision-making. With short communication lines and daily collaboration with technical teams. With autonomy, supported during the onboarding period and regular alignment with management.
