Description de la fonction
- Merger control (EU & global filings) for high-profile cross-border transactions
- Antitrust investigations and cartel/abuse of dominance cases
- Foreign direct investment (FDI) reviews
- State aid, competition compliance and advisory work
- Coordinating complex matters involving multiple regulators across Europe and the US
- Maintain direct client contact and build strong relationships.
- Conduct legal, business, and market analysis to support case strategies.
- Draft legal documents and deliver clear, concise advice.
- Contribute to business development initiatives, including presentations and webinars.
- Stay current on competition law developments and author legal articles.
There is significant exposure to German clients, so candidates with German language skills or a German qualification are particularly encouraged to apply, though the team welcomes all EU-qualified lawyers with strong competition backgrounds.
This is a role where you will work directly with major global clients, take ownership of matters early on, and build a practice within a team that is firmly on an upward growth trajectory.
Profil
- Lawyer registered with the Brussels Bar or qualified in an EU Member State.
- Master's degree in law (LL.M.) with specialization in EU law.
- 2 to 8 years of experience in EU competition law, ideally in an international law firm.
- Native-level German + Excellent level of English
- Strong analytical, drafting, and communication skills.
- High computer literacy; additional languages and cross-jurisdictional experience are a plus.
