Senior Tester - Quality Assurance M/V/X

You join the test team responsible for the quality of a mission-critical platform used for the management of members, contributions, compensations and financial flows. The platform is moving from a legacy monolith to a modular, web-based architecture, which requires robust testing, strong analytical insight and structured defect follow-up.

You work closely with analysts, developers and key users to validate new and updated features, challenge logic, validate financial flows and ensure every release is stable and production-ready.

• You analyse user stories and process flows, translate them into detailed test scenarios and maintain test plans and test cases in Azure DevOps. Y
• ou define priorities based on risk and prepare the required test data for administrative and financial processes such as contributions, settlements, SEPA flows and corrections.
• You execute tests across multiple environments (TST, UAT, pre-PRD).
• You validate calculations, data consistency and interface behaviour in the Bridges platform.
• You cross-check results against source documents such as Excel settlements, SEPA files and migration output. All outcomes are documented clearly and systematically.
• You log defects in Azure DevOps, assign priorities and retest fixes.
• You collaborate with analysts and developers to identify root causes, challenge fixes where needed and ensure correct resolution before release.
• You keep project leaders and QA informed through clear reporting.
• You maintain a reliable regression test suite covering critical flows. You support key users during UAT and help formalise findings, gaps and improvements for upcoming releases.
• You contribute to improving test standards, tooling, processes and testability across the team.
• You support knowledge-sharing moments and help coach junior testers or new key users.
• You also provide input into the expansion of automated test scenarios.

Profil

What are we looking for?

• 6+ years of experience in software testing within complex business or financial systems
• Education: Bachelor or Master in IT, computer science or a relevant field
• Languages: Dutch and French at professional level (reading, writing, speaking)
• Strong knowledge of structured test methodologies (on a ISTQB Foundation level or equivalent, no certification required)
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, advanced Excel, and data validation
• Strong ability to analyse administrative and financial flows (contributions, settlements, payments)
• Experience with functional, integration and regression testing
• Ability to interpret process flows, functional documentation and complex business logic
• Experience writing clear defects and reproducible steps
• Analytical, precise and structured in both execution and reporting

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with automated testing (Selenium, Power Automate Desktop, or similar)
• Knowledge of Power BI or Postman
• Familiarity with database verification and basic SQL

• Experience testing payment flows, SEPA or bookkeeping processes
