Freelance Senior Accountant M/V/X

Our client is a well-established organization operating in a dynamic, high-volume environment. The accounting department is stable, well-structured, and known for strong team cohesion. They are facing a transitional moment and need immediate senior-level reinforcement to secure deadlines and financial accuracy.

Description de la fonction

• Take ownership of the year-end closing and monthly reporting cycles
• Manage general ledger activities, including AP/AR supervision
• Support and coach a team of junior and medior accountants
• Ensure accurate transactional processing with AS400 and Scare tools
• Act as a liaison between the finance team and group-level stakeholders
• Step in operationally whenever needed to maintain workflow continuity
• Provide structure and oversight during a period with minimal handover

Profil

• 5-10 years of experience in GL accounting and closing activities
• Strong technical accounting expertise with the ability to troubleshoot independently
• Confident in guiding less experienced team members
• Fluent in French and comfortable with basic Dutch
• Capable of managing priorities in a fast-paced and time-sensitive context
• Hands-on mindset and readiness to operate without formal transfer of knowledge
• Available during the holiday period and able to start immediately
