As Head of Data & AI, you will lead the Data, AI, and BI teams within the IT service unit. You will be responsible for defining and executing the Data, AI & BI strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with business and product goals. Your role will be pivotal in driving data-driven decision-making across the organization and its institutions.

You will manage a team, oversee the department's budget, and ensure the delivery of high-impact data initiatives. You will also be the key liaison between internal stakeholders (IT Management Team, Domain and Product Managers, ExCo, Board of Directors) and external partners (suppliers, end-users, and market networks).

You want to

• Lead and inspire multidisciplinary teams in Data, AI, and BI
• Shape and implement a long-term vision and roadmap for data-driven innovation
• Promote a data culture across the organization and its stakeholders
• Drive strategic initiatives that deliver measurable business value
• Influence technological and supplier choices to ensure efficiency and innovation
• Collaborate across departments to ensure proactive data-transversal alignment and synergy

In addition, you will:

• Manage and develop the Data, AI, and BI teams within the IT service unit

• Ensure the delivery of high-impact data initiatives aligned with business and product goals
• Act as a key liaison between internal stakeholders (IT Management Team, Domain and Product Managers, ExCo, Board of Directors) and external partners (suppliers, end-users, market networks)

Profile sought

You have:

• Exceptional communication skills with internal stakeholders and strong public speaking abilities
• Proven experience in people management, managing teams of 15+ people
• At least 10 years of experience in data governance & quality, AI, BI, or a related domain
• Proven experience in agile environments and in managing complex projects
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills
• Fluency in French, Dutch, and English

Duration: minimum 6 months with potential extension.
Location and working mode: Hybrid, to be discussed with the managers.
