Join a Belgian non-profit organization dedicated to resolving disputes between financial institutions and their client. With a team of experienced legal professionals, the mediation service plays a key role in promoting fairness, trust, and transparency in the financial sector. The organization is expanding its scope to include more corporate cases, especially fraud-related.

As a Legal Advisor - Mediation your responsibilities are:

• Analyze and manage dispute files, especially fraud-related, bank accounts closing, credit, investments etc..
• Facilitate dialogue and seek fair, diplomatic resolutions
• Draft legal opinions and formulate recommendations based on law and equity
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a respectful and inclusive environment
• Participate in internal discussions and contribute to the monthly case publication

Profil

A successful Legal Advisor - Mediation should have:

• Native Dutch speaker with basic French
• Excellent analytical skills, empathy, and diplomatic mindset
• Strong interest or experience in financial law (banking, consumer protection, economic law)
• 0 - 10 years of experience (junior profiles are welcome) - open to candidates from the bar or in-house legal counsel
• Ability to work autonomously while integrating well into a team
• Motivation to grow within the organization and contribute long-term
• Empathy and exceptional interpersonal skills
