Accounting and Finance officer M/V/X

Our client is a well-established public-private partnership uniting around 120 organisations across industry, research, public authorities, suppliers and mobility stakeholders. Their mission: to promote and deploy intelligent transport systems (ITS) across Europe for safer, smarter and greener mobility.

• Handle day-to-day accounting related to European Commission (EC) projects and corporate/departmental transactions.
• Support monthly and annual closing of accounts in line with Belgian and internal accounting standards.
• Prepare and compile periodic financial statements.
• Monitor actual versus budgeted costs for EC projects and corporate activities.
• Ensure administrative and legal requirements for suppliers, corporate and EC contracts are met.
• Provide backup support for other tasks within the financial & administrative department as needed

Profil

• Minimum ~5 years' accounting experience, with strong knowledge of European VAT rules.
• Skilled in budgeting and managing sensitive financial and administrative data.
• Experience working on EC-funded projects is a strong plus.
• Fluency in English and French (written and spoken).
• Comfortable with MS Office tools and ERP software (e.g. Odoo).
• Highly accurate, discreet, reliable, service-oriented, proactive, flexible, and capable of multitasking.
• Strong attention to detail, deadline-oriented, and able to work independently and within a small team.
