afarax is looking for a freelance Data Engineer GIS. We need you!
 
The project:
Our client in the telecom sector, is seeking an experienced Data Engineer GIS to strengthen their team.
 
Main missions:

• Design, develop, and automate spatial data pipelines.
• Integrate and transform geospatial data using FME, Python, and R.
• Establish robust workflows to feed PostGIS and Oracle Spatial databases.
• Optimize data quality, performance, and governance.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure the reliability and availability of data flows

 
Is this you?

• Experience in GIS projects (at least 2-3 years)
• Fluent in French and English
• Strong proficiency in Python and R (ETL, data processing, visualization).
• Proven experience with FME (Safe Software).
• Solid skills in spatial databases (PostGIS, Oracle Spatial).
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT concepts and data architectures.
• Understanding of issues related to geospatial data.
• Development knowledge
• Team player and customer oriented
