Role Overview: 

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Architect to design, implement, and optimize ERP solutions across SAP and non-SAP platforms. This role involves defining technical architecture, ensuring integration between systems, and guiding development teams in delivering scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Architecture Design:
  • Define end-to-end technical architecture for ERP solutions, including SAP (ECC, S/4HANA, BTP) and non-SAP systems, cloud and non-cloud.
• Integration & Interfaces:
  • Design and govern integration patterns for SAP and non-SAP applications (APIs, middleware, flat files).
  • Oversee data migration and interface strategies.
• Technical Leadership: Lead by example
  • Provide guidance to development teams on best practices, coding standards, and performance optimization.
  • Collaborate with functional architects and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Security & Compliance: Security by design
  • Ensure solutions adhere to security, compliance, and data privacy standards.
• Innovation & Optimization:
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements for ERP landscape.
  • Drive automation, AI and DevOps practices for ERP deployments. 

Profil

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Language: English (fluent), Dutch and French is appreciated.
• Technical Expertise:
  • Strong knowledge of legacy and modern SAP technologies and applications (S/4HANA, BTP, PI/PO, CPI, GRC, )
  • Experience with non-SAP ERP systems and third-party applications.
  • Good knowledge on common technologies used in the ERP software area (integration protocols, security concepts, databases, operating systems, .).
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and hybrid architectures.
  • Identity management with Azure AD and SAP.
  • Encryption and Key Vault integration for SAP HANA.
  • Compliance frameworks (ISO, GDPR) for SAP.
  • High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) for SAP systems, including S4 HANA on Azure.
  • Network design for SAP workloads (ExpressRoute, VNet Peering).
  • Sizing and scaling SAP systems.
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards and cloud strategies (e.g., Azure, AWS).
• Integration Tools:
  • Expertise in middleware (SAP PI/PO, CPI, GW, etc.) and API management.
• Programming & Scripting:
  • Familiarity with ABAP and eventual other languages like Bash, Python, Java.
• Soft Skills:
  • Communication skills:
    • Ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms for non-technical stakeholders.
    • Clear documentation and presentation skills.
  • Leadership skills
    • Guiding teams without direct authority.
    • Inspiring confidence in architectural decisions.
    • Helping team members grow technically and professionally.
    • Sharing best practices and architectural principles.
  • Collaboration skils:
    • Working across departments (developers, business analysts, project managers).
    • Building consensus among diverse stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinking:
    • Aligning architecture decisions with long-term business goals.
    • Understanding cost implications and scalability.
  • Problem-Solving & Critical Thinking
    • Quickly analyzing issues and proposing practical solutions.
    • Balancing technical feasibility with business needs.
    • Handling disagreements on design choices or priorities.
    • Finding win-win solutions between technical and business teams.
• Certifications (Preferred):
  • SAP Certified Technology Architect or similar.
  • Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect or equivalent. 

Experience:

• Minimum 8+ years in SAP technical roles, with at least 5 years as an architect.
• Proven experience in SAP migrations, cloud adoption, and integration projects.
