What you'll do

• Integrate client's requirements (e.g. new features, bug fixing, build adapters) to the open-source framework Powsybl
• Support in the internal development of Grid analysis tools (e.g. Topology Optimizer, Voltage Optimizer) within client
• Work on combining open-source topology and redispatch optimization tools
• Adapt Openrao to the needs of client
• Knowledge on Grid models is required (Cgmes, Uct)
• Carrying out benchmarks to identify bottlenecks and for quantitative evaluation
• Work with network data to ensure the applicability of these methods in practice
• Align self-developed load flow tools with the production systems currently in use
• Support your colleagues with your electrical engineering expertise
• (Optional) scientific publication of the knowledge gained

 

What you bring

• Good Electrical engineering knowledge focus load flow computations / Grid data
• Strong knowledge on coding language Java, Python
• Knowledge in Milp/Quality-Diversity /general non-convex optimization
• Plus: Knowledge of parallel programming patterns and massively-parallel Hardware (GPUs)
• Experience in the development of the open-source framework Powsybl
• Experience in modeling energy systems
• Strong academic background in electrical engineering
• BSc or MSc in Computer Science, data science, engineering, informatics, or similar is a plus
• Fluent in English. Additional language skills in German, Dutch or French is a plus
• Experience: at least three years +
• Good communication skills
