Information Security Analyst - Financial Services - Brussels M/V/X

Our client is a leading European financial services organisation, seeking an ICT Security Analyst to drive the implementation of cutting-edge security processes and systems across their operations.

Mission: Strengthen the organisation's security posture by aligning strategy with operational execution. Serve as the main ICT security contact, translating security objectives into actionable processes, measurable results, and robust risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

Security Operations & Incident Management

• Act as the primary contact for SOC requests, alerts, and security incidents.
• Monitor and manage vulnerabilities, incidents, and endpoint/identity security (MFA, EDR, MDM, patching).
• Support or lead initiatives such as penetration testing, vulnerability management, and awareness campaigns.
• Advise on security aspects of ICT projects (e.g., SharePoint, Copilot, IAM).

Continuous Improvement & Projects

• Identify and remediate gaps in ICT security processes.
• Maintain and update security policies, procedures, and tools (firewalls, EDR, vulnerability platforms).
• Propose and implement solutions to enhance ICT security.

Collaboration, Governance & Compliance

• Align with Information Security and the second line of defence.
• Document activities, track metrics, and report on risks.
• Contribute to compliance, resilience, training, and testing.
• Translate security recommendations into a prioritised roadmap.

Profil

• Degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• Strong expertise in Security Operations, SOC processes, and SIEM tools.
• Broad technical knowledge: cloud, network, endpoint, and identity security (EDR, MDM, MFA).
• Experience with threat intelligence, vulnerability management, security monitoring, and incident response/forensics.
• Familiarity with IT standards or regulations (e.g., NIS2, ISO27x, DORA) is a plus.
• Excellent English and proficiency in another EU language.
