As an International Field Service Engineer in our Flying Brigade, based worldwide, you start with in-depth training at our headquarters before travelling across continents. You troubleshoot, repair and commission our cranes and heavy lifting equipment on client sites, often during critical breakdowns. You work independently, with safety and precision as your anchors, and represent Team Blue wherever you go.

Your job in a nutshell:

  • Start with technical training at Sarens HQ to master our cranes and heavy lifting equipment.
  • Travel worldwide to troubleshoot, repair and commission equipment on client sites.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and electronic issues with precision.
  • Ensure all interventions meet Sarens' safety standards and OEM procedures.
  • Document your work accurately and communicate clearly with internal teams and clients.
  • Collaborate closely with the Global Fleet Service team and report to the Group Service Manager.

ABOUT YOU

You are a technically strong problem-solver who thrives in international environments. You stay calm when faced with complex breakdowns, and you enjoy the autonomy of field work. You combine technical expertise, a safety-first mindset and a hands-on attitude with the flexibility to travel worldwide.

Required:

  • Technical degree or equivalent experience (electromechanics, mechanics or engineering).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical or hydraulic systems.
  • Ability and willingness to travel worldwide for extended periods.
  • Fluent English and clear communication skills.
  • A hands-on, safety-focused approach.

Preferred:

  • Experience with cranes, heavy lifting equipment or field service roles.
  • Additional languages.
  • Familiarity with industrial electronics or control systems.
