You report to the Real Estate Accounting & Reporting Manager and will service the company's development and construction businesses in Europe with project/commitment, follow-up reporting and accounting services with regard to the real estate portfolio.

Description de la fonction

As our new Real-estate accounting & reporting specialist, you will have following responsibilities:

  • You ensure the monitoring and follow-up of expenditures and financial commitments for real estate projects at a European level.
  • Prepare and review local GAAP accounting memos
  • You supervise the daily administration of the invoice and purchase order cycle
  • Review the allocations and posting of invoices
  • You conduct the analysis of new real estate projects (construction, renovation and maintenance of our stores) in Europe.
  • You support financial reporting on Capital Expenditure projects (Actual/Budget/Forecast)
  • Follow-up on payment instructions and schedules
  • You support the monthly and quarterly closing process
  • You support the Tax department with respect to the property tax returns.
  • Preparation of the internal and external audit process.
  • Ensure compliance with IRFS and Local GAAP's
  • Ensure the preparations of budgets
  • ESG reporting preparation
  • Support the execution of mergers, acquisitions, and the integration
  • Administrative assistance
  • Support the Accounting Manager with special projects & process improvements
  • Contribute to European projects: systems, integration of new entities, IFRS migration,...
  • You implement procedures and systems
  • You implement the roll out of various control systems in your market(s).

Profil

Our new Real-estate accounting & reporting specialist has a bachelor/master's degree in Finance/Economics/Accounting.
You recognize yourself in following aspects:

  • Fluent in English. Good knowledge of French or German is a strong asset.
  • Experience in the Services or Retail sector is a must
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting
  • Experience with IFRS and local GAAP is considered a plus
  • You have a working knowledge of Microsoft applications and an advanced level in Excel
  • Experience with SAP is required, while familiarity with SAP S/4HANA is considered a plus
  • General interest in obtaining a deep knowledge of (financial) IT systems.
  • You are open and flexible to occasional travel.

 

This job does not include Visa-sponsorship. Applicants must be authorized to work in Belgium.
