Robert Half Talent Solutions is currently looking for a Payroll Manager (m/f/x) for a permanent position based in Brussels.


You will oversee a team of one Payroll Officer, ensuring the smooth operation of all administrative and payroll processes for 300 employees.


As Payroll Manager (m/f/x) you will be responsible for: Coordinating team activities for the entire payroll process and ensuring accuracy, compliance, and deadline management. Acting as the main point of contact with the external payroll provider (Partena). Ensuring Payroll/HR systems comply with relevant social law regulations and providing proactive advice on official procedures to tax authorities, NSSO, and others. Managing official procedures related to employee memberships (NSSO, Dimona, health insurance, orange, group insurance, Pluxee, etc.). Working closely with HR, sales, mobility, and accounting teams to improve processes and workflows. Providing operational support to the team and responding accurately to employee queries. Managing and mentoring the Payroll Officer, fostering a supportive and growth-oriented environment. Overseeing the renewal and creation of work permits according to legal requirements.

Profil

The required profile for the Payroll Manager (m/f/x) position: Fluent in English, Dutch, and French. Strong knowledge of labor and social laws/regulations. Proven experience in team management, with a demonstrated ability to lead and mentor. Proactive mindset and a focus on continuous process and system improvement. Background in large organizations with complex payroll and administrative environments. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, collaborating effectively internally and externally. Experience with Cafeteria Plans and Mobility Budgets. At least 4 years of payroll or related experience. Experience managing work permits (creation and renewals). Consultancy background and familiarity with Partena are a plus. Certified Prevention Advisor - Level II (Belgian Well-being at Work legislation) is an asset.
