Assistant Driller

What will you do as an assistant / groundworker for drilling operations?
We are looking for a candidate who speaks English, Romanian, or Italian.

You will support the driller on various construction sites and take part in a wide range of drilling projects across Belgium.
You will be picked up by your colleagues in Zellik, Groot-Bijgaarden.

You will join a specialized company active in drilling and foundation works.
Teamwork is very important here, and you will have the opportunity to learn on the job.
Safety, quality, and a no-nonsense approach are the foundation of their operations.

Together with your team, you ensure that drilling works are carried out smoothly and safely.

You assist in the preparation, execution, and completion of projects
You work at different locations and learn something new every day in a technical environment
You support the driller with daily drilling activities
You help set up and operate installations
You work closely with the high-pressure installation operator
You help maintain a safe and orderly worksite
You travel to sites across Belgium
You actively roll up your sleeves and learn on the job

Profil

- Vaardigheden:
Who are you?

You have technical insight and learn quickly on the job
You are hands-on and enjoy working outdoors
You communicate smoothly with your colleagues
You are flexible and willing to work on different sites across Belgium
Languages: English, Italian, or Romanian
You have a category B driving license and can independently reach a pick-up location
You live in the Zellik or Brussels region
You have a positive work attitude and think in a solution-oriented way
No specific diploma required; motivation and commitment are more important
Basic technical understanding or experience in construction or engineering is a plus
You speak Dutch; additional languages such as French or English are an asset
A category B driving license is required

About the company

- Attesten:
VCA Certificate (to be obtained before starting - via ASAP, 1-day training with an exam)
Category B driving licence

- Opleidingsvereisten:
No specific diploma required; motivation and commitment are more important.
Basic technical insight or experience in construction or engineering is a plus.

- Vakkennis:
Some experience with tasks such as earthworks, digging pits, etc., in all weather conditions is required.

- Talenkennis:
Languages spoken on site: English, Italian, or Romanian.

Competitive salary and benefits, according to construction sector regulations (PC124):

Base salary in construction starts from €18.390 per hour
Your salary depends on your experience and is negotiable
Meal vouchers for each day worked

After your successful interim period and permanent employment, you are entitled to hospitalization insurance.
