Ranson is looking for a Buyer to take our product range and supplier network to the next level in both the UK and Belgium.

Ranson is looking for a Buyer to take our product range and supplier network to the next level in both the UK and Belgium.


As a Buyer, you will be responsible for managing and developing a strong supplier network in both the UK and Belgium. You will negotiate optimal terms, ensure product quality and guarantee reliable deliveries. You will work closely with Category Management and Replenishment to implement an efficient and strategic procurement policy. What will you be doing? Supplier management and procurement strategy Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers. Negotiating price, quality and delivery terms to support business objectives. Monitoring and evaluating supplier performance based on KPIs such as delivery reliability and cost efficiency. Actively responding to market developments and risks within the supply chain. Product range and stock management Collaborating with Category Management to align product ranges with market trends and customer needs. Identifying and onboarding new suppliers and exclusive product opportunities. Ensuring compliance with contractual agreements and service levels with suppliers. Resolving escalations and delivery issues in collaboration with Replenishment. Cost efficiency and risk management Negotiating cost-efficient purchasing terms and monitoring price trends. Developing strategies to minimize cost fluctuations and delivery risks. Aligning procurement decisions with demand forecasts and stock management. Continuous improvement and collaboration Optimizing procurement processes and implementing best practices. Collaborating with internal stakeholders to manage market changes and operational challenges. Actively monitoring trends and competition to keep the procurement strategy innovative and up to date.

Profil

A Master's degree in a relevant field (Supply Chain/Business Administration) 3 to 5 years' experience in procurement and supplier management within the food or bakery sector. Native British English, Dutch is a must and basic knowledge of French. Strong negotiation skills and analytical insight. Proactive and results-oriented attitude. Willingness and availability for regular travel to the UK. Experience with S&OP processes is a plus.
