Legal Counsel BeLux

As Legal Counsel you will deal with all legal questions that arise within AB InBev. You are at the heart of the organization and have a close relationship with the commercial teams, management and European (legal) colleagues. You will work at our office in Leuven, a 5-minute walk from the railway station.

What does the job entail? 

  • You will mainly be involved in the strategic-legal support of the commercial team focusing on the Belgian and Luxembourg market of supermarkets and other stores  
  • You will manage the dispute portfolio related to this market, as well as for our logistics and breweries 
  • With the help of contract specialists, you will close watertight purchase and sales contracts 
  • You educate internal departments on the aspects of competition and contract law related to their business 
  • You oversee adherence to the compliance program 
  • You constantly think about how to improve your scope by changing, automating and/or digitizing 

Profil

Who are we looking for? 

  • Master of law degree 
  • Perfect command of Dutch, French and English 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position in a legal department of an international company or law firm 
  • Knowledge of European and Belgian legislation in the field of commercial law, contract law and preferably also competition law  
  • Experience in dispute resolution  
  • Experience in dealing with complex legal issues at the international level 
  • Experience in Legal Operations or with Legal Tech is a plus 

Diplôme

  • Supérieur universitaire
