Network Support Engineer - Zaventem
For a fast-growing company active in the telecom sector, we are looking for an IT Network Support Engineer. The organization supports professional clients with mobile data solutions, network connectivity and router infrastructure, with a strong focus on reliable connections, fast interventions and technically sound support in business-critical environments.
You will join a compact, technical team of 5 people responsible for the operational support of customers across various sectors. The environment is highly network-driven, with daily involvement in mobile networks, routing, firewalling and connectivity challenges.
Within this context, you will strengthen the IT service desk team as a Network Support Engineer. The role combines 1st and 2nd line support and is strongly focused on networks and connectivity, with clear ownership from analysis through to resolution.
Network Support Engineer - Responsibilities:
- You handle 1st and 2nd line support for network and connectivity issues, analyse tickets based on complexity and priority, and ensure accurate and timely resolutions.
- You perform troubleshooting and configurations on routers, mobile data solutions and WiFi environments, working with VLANs, VPNs, routing, subnetting and basic firewalling.
- You safeguard operational continuity through ticket follow-up, reporting, router preparation and inventory management, proactive network monitoring and collaboration with external partners within a 24/7 SLA context.
Profil
Network Support Engineer - Profile:- You have a solid networking foundation (comparable to CCNA level) and are able to apply this knowledge in hands-on support and troubleshooting scenarios. You have at least 1 year of experience as an IT Support or Network Engineer.
- You communicate clearly and professionally in Dutch, French and English, with strong attention to customer impact and service quality.
- You work hands-on and independently, take initiative and combine problem-solving skills with a strong team-oriented mindset.
