Would you like to contribute to a European mobility project and work in an international environment?

We are currently looking for a Travel & Customer Care Assistant to join the team working on the DiscoverEU project, an initiative that allows young people to travel across Europe by train.

In this role, you will support the team in coordinating participant travel and providing high-quality customer support while ensuring accurate administrative follow-up.

Key Responsibilities

Travel & Customer Support

  • Respond to participant enquiries via email and chat, ensuring timely responses according to internal service standards
  • Assist participants with travel-related questions, including booking support and document verification
  • Manage and follow up on travel cases, expenses and supplier invoices
  • Identify and escalate complex or exceptional cases to the relevant team members when necessary
  • Handle special travel situations such as lost tickets, rebookings or accessibility requests
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures, financial guidelines and data protection rules

Team & Administrative Support

  • Support daily team operations with administrative and coordination tasks
  • Assist with participant identity verification and documentation checks
  • Maintain accurate records and follow-up of participant cases

Administration & Tools

  • Work with internal web applications, helpdesk platforms and databases
  • Use standard IT tools and office software for administrative follow-up
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR and IT security procedures when handling participant data
  • Contribute to sustainability practices in line with the organisation's environmental commitments

Profil

  • Eligible to work full-time in the EU (40h/week)
  • Excellent English skills (written and spoken)
  • Fluency in at least one additional EU language (German, Dutch, French, Spanish, Italian, Polish or Turkish)
  • Strong customer service mindset and communication skills
  • Organised and able to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality of work
