The challenge awaiting you :

We are a mid-sized, entrepreneurial business operating across France, Belgium and the Netherlands. Our finance function is lean, which means this role carries real impact but also real breadth. The right person will thrive on variety, move comfortably between strategic input and hands-on delivery, and be as happy building a financial model as presenting it to leadership.

The role has two connected remits. As Senior Finance Business Partner, you will be a trusted adviser to regional senior leadership across France, Belgium and the Netherlands. As Finance Manager, you will lead the Brussels-based finance team responsible for accounting and financial operations across the Belgian and Dutch entities. In-depth knowledge of Belgium and Dutch GAAP is essential.


The tasks awaiting you:

1. Regional Finance Business Partnering

• Partner with regional senior leadership to drive financial performance. Provide strategic financial insights, analysis and recommendations to regional senior leaders, including scenario analysis, financial modelling and profitability analysis, to support business objectives and growth targets.
• Lead the annual budget and forecasting cycle; own cost control oversight across the region and present results clearly to the leadership team.
• Build and maintain financial dashboards and reports in Power BI and Excel; act as the bridge between local finance and group, ensuring consistent governance and timely head office reporting.

2. Finance Team Leadership & Entity Accounting (Belgium & Netherlands)

• Lead and develop the Brussels finance team, staying closely involved in day-to-day work and acting as the escalation point on complex accounting matters.
• Own the delivery of accurate, compliant management accounts and statutory reporting for both entities in line with Belgian and Dutch GAAP, including tax submissions and audit readiness.
• Manage key external relationships including bank(s), auditors and advisers for the Belgian and Dutch entities.
• Lead the upcoming accounting system migration as finance project owner. Project management experience is a strong advantage; at minimum, a proactive attitude to system change is expected.

3. Continuous Improvement & Automation

• Identify and implement AI and automation tools to streamline processes and improve reporting speed and accuracy. Champion a technology-first mindset across the team.

Profil

• Proven experience as a hands-on Finance Business Partner at senior level, with direct team management experience. Background in a small or mid-sized business is a strong advantage.
• In-depth knowledge of Belgium and Dutch GAAP; professional accounting qualification highly desirable.
• Fluency in Dutch, French and English is essential.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and Power BI, with the ability to build financial models, dashboards and reports that translate complex data into clear insights for senior leadership.
• Experience managing relationships with banks, external auditors and financial advisers.
• Project management skills or experience owning a system/process change (accounting system migration experience a plus).
• Comfortable with AI tools and automation in a finance context, with a technology-forward mindset.
• Strong communicator who can engage senior stakeholders with confidence and collaborate effectively
