THE JOB

In this role, you will first learn to understand the working of the equipment of Molecular Plasma Group. Then you will be responsible for the lab equipment of Molecular Plasma Group and if needed also to build and/or repair this. In a later phase, you will assist with the installation and servicing of Molecular Plasma Group's equipment at customer sites. This will require only a limited portion of your time, less than 10%. As on of the first persons in this role at Molecular Plasma Group, you will have the opportunity to establish the job and define the service workflow based on your experience.

THE TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

. Arranging and assembling the MPG machines, including mechanical and electrical setup of new plasma equipment, supporting acceptance tests and approval on customer site.

. Support in engineering projects

. Maintaining the R&D plasma machines in the Molecular Plasma Group lab. Ensuring that all equipment is available for testing by the scientific team. This includes daily cleaning of the atomizers and setting of the machines.

. Organize the refilling of the cartridges, including shipping to the end customer.

. Arranging the installation, including the mechanical and electrical set up of new customer equipment, supporting the acceptance testing and sign-off at the customer site.

. Installing and connecting electrical components (power supply, controls, motors, PLCs, etc.).

. Reading, interpreting and updating electrical diagrams and installation drawings.

. Performing test procedures and functional checks of our machine.

. Diagnosing malfunctions and performing repairs.

. Define the spare parts needed for machine maintenance from a service perspective, provide feedback on design related issues with ease of maintenance and report any feedback to engineering for improvement.

. Provide input for and/or ensure a good setup of the service organization.

. Organize 3D printing activities.

Profil

THE ALL-ROUNDER TECHNICIAN JOB REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:

Relevant technical education or bachelor level (mechanical, electrical, or related field), combined with at least 2 years of experience in a comparable role. You will recognize in yourself:

• A hands-on mentality, independent, pro-active, solution-driven and eager to learn.
• Experience in assembly or testing of high-tech equipment is an advantage.
• Flexibility and ability to cope with the dynamics of a start-up environment.
• Warehouse inbound and outbound + warehouse handling including ODOO transactions.
• 3D printing.
• Affinity with programming (Labview, others) is a great added value.
• Support the colleagues in the laboratory.
• Being able to build good relations with customers.
