Our client, a global player in the industrial and specialised distribution sector, is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Accountant to strengthen its European shared services centre.

In this role, you will join an international team and contribute to the accounting management of several group entities, in a demanding environment where quality, accuracy and collaboration are central priorities.

Your role

Within the Finance department, you will be responsible for the full processing of accounts payable operations while ensuring compliance with internal procedures and the group's accounting standards.

Accounts payable

• Checking, validating and posting supplier invoices
• Managing three-way matching between purchase orders, receipts and invoices
• Preparing and monitoring payments
• Analysing and resolving invoicing discrepancies
• Managing reminders and monitoring supplier accounts

Reconciliation & control

• Reconciling supplier statements
• Ensuring consistency of accounting data
• Maintaining rigorous financial documentation
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of AP procedures

International collaboration

• Regular contact with international suppliers and stakeholders
• Ad hoc support to other group entities
• Working within a multicultural Shared Service Centre environment
• Collaborating with Finance teams based in different countries

Profil

Candidate profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting
• Good understanding of international accounting principles and interest in US GAAP standards
• Experience with SAP (FI, AP or equivalent modules)
• Strong command of professional English
• Excellent Excel skills
