Senior / Lead Android developer M/V/X

Our partner, an innovative tech driven company, is looking for a Senior/Lead Android Developer to drive the evolution of their mobile applications.

You'll join a mature agile team building next-generation mobile applications. As a Senior/Lead Android Developer, you will translate business requirements into robust Android solutions and work closely with product and backend teams to ensure seamless integration and technical excellence.

• Playing a key role in the design, development, and maintenance of high-quality Android applications, translating business needs into scalable and robust mobile solutions
• Taking ownership of the Android codebase, ensuring code quality, stability, security, and alignment with best practices throughout the development lifecycle
• Working closely with backend teams to ensure smooth integration with APIs and distributed systems
• Leveraging tools such as JIRA and Confluence to manage tasks, document technical decisions, and contribute to an efficient agile delivery process
• Collaborating with product owners, designers, and other engineers to deliver performant, user-centric, and future-proof mobile applications
• Coaching and mentoring team members, contributing to architectural discussions, and driving continuous improvement within the team

Profil

• At least 5 years of experience in Android development, with a strong focus on building scalable and high-quality mobile applications
• A solid technical background, with a good understanding of software architecture, system interactions, and backend integration
• Strong experience with Kotlin and modern Android development practices (e.g. MVVM, Clean Architecture, Jetpack components)
• Experience working in environments with API-driven architectures and microservices, including integrating and consuming RESTful APIs
• Good understanding of data handling and modelling on mobile applications
• Experience working in agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to align technical solutions with business needs and work closely with different stakeholders
