System Engineer M/V/X

Our client is a company offering consulting and management services relating to supplementary pensions, life and disability benefits. The company employs around 45 people.

They are looking for a Network & System Engineer for the rationalization and implementation of their new IT infrastructure and tools in support of their Digital Transformation.

They have started their Digital Transformation that will lead to host all of its IT services on a new infrastructure platform, based on Azure and Office 365. They are also redeveloping their core business application landscape to rely on a solution supported by a microservice architecture, hosted in Azure.
They are looking to reinforce their infrastructure team with a network & system engineer that has a cross-domain experience. He will be actively involved in the design, implementation and operation of the new IT infrastructure.

As Network & System Engineer you will complete the autonomous team of 3 system and network engineers in charge of the infrastructure and security management; as well as providing user support to about 45 users.

As such, you can expect undertaking various activities that cover :

• A major involvement in in the design, implementation and operation of the new IT infrastructure; following the architecture (and requirements).
• Ensure the availability, reliability and performance of the infrastructure and related services.
• Helping guaranteeing the security of the infrastructure services and application landscape.
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation (Design and implementation).
• Participating in the creation and roll-out of IT operational policies, procedures and inventories.
• Ensure a responsive and high quality service by providing IT assistance and support to our internal and external users.

Profil

Education and career

You have a Master's degree in computer science or equivalent through experience.
You have at least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar position.

Technical skills
The following technical skills are desired :

• Strong experience with the Microsoft cloud platform (Azure, Office 365) .
• Strong experience with Active Directory.
• You have proven experience in supporting workplace services, including providing user support.
• You have a thorough grasp on security principles and implementations, e.g. installing, tuning and hardening of operating systems (server/desktop) in a Microsoft environment .

Furthermore, any of the following skills will be considered a plus :

• You have experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC, Terraform)
• You have a previous experience in CI/CD solution and a good understanding of a release process.
• You have an experience with backup policies and solutions.
• You have an experience with Citrix application publishing.
• You have a good knowledge of networking.
