Description de la fonction
For our client based in Zaventem, an international industrial company, we are looking for an HSE Manager.
Responsibilities
As HSE Manager, you are responsible for developing, implementing and continuously improving the Health, Safety and Environment strategy across a manufacturing site employing several hundred people.
You ensure compliance with applicable legislation, corporate standards and industry best practices while
promoting a strong safety culture throughout the organisation.
You monitor workplace conditions, assess risks and ensure that appropriate preventive measures are implemented. Through regular site inspections and close collaboration with operational teams, you identify improvement opportunities and support the implementation of corrective actions.
You coordinate the investigation of incidents and accidents, determine root causes and ensure that effective preventive measures are put in place. You also oversee emergency preparedness activities and support the management of emergency response and first aid teams.
In addition, you are responsible for maintaining HSE documentation, monitoring performance indicators, preparing reports and supporting internal and external audits. You contribute to the continuous development of HSE processes and ensure that policies and procedures remain aligned with regulatory and organisational requirements.
Reporting directly to the HSE Director, you will manage one team member (Prevention Advisor Level 2).
Profil
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Environmental Management, Prevention, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related discipline.
- Certified Prevention Advisor Level 1; Environmental Coordinator Class A certification is considered a strong asset.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar HSE position within an industrial environment.
- Very good knowledge of Dutch, French and English.
- Hands-on professional with strong communication and leadership skills, capable of influencing and engaging stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities. Proactive, pragmatic and results-oriented approach.
