NTT DATA is looking for an API / SOA Developer
Location: Belgium (Fully Remote Possible)
Contract Type: Freelance or Permanent
Languages

• Professional working proficiency in English (mandatory)
• Professional working proficiency in Dutch and/or French (mandatory)

About the Role
We are looking for API / SOA Developers to join our integration and API teams. You will contribute to the development, deployment and support of enterprise APIs and integration services in modern Agile environments.
We welcome Junior, Medior and Senior candidates.
Key Responsibilities

• Develop REST and SOAP services
• Build and maintain Java-based API solutions
• Implement secure integration patterns
• Create and maintain OpenAPI specifications
• Perform unit and integration testing
• Participate in Agile ceremonies
• Support deployment and production environments
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
• Maintain technical documentation

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Higher education degree or equivalent experience
• Experience with Java EE and enterprise development
• REST API development experience
• Knowledge of OpenAPI and Swagger
• Experience with OAuth2 and API security
• Understanding of SOA and Microservices principles
• Experience with Git, Maven and CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of SOAP, WSDL and WS-Security
• Experience working in Agile environments
• Knowledge of testing methodologies and DevOps practices
• Experience with production support environments

Technology Environment
Java EE, Spring Boot, Docker, OpenShift, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Jenkins, Maven, Git, Swagger, OpenAPI, Postman, SOAPUI, Apache CXF, Elasticsearch and Kibana.

A hands-on developer who enjoys building scalable integration solutions and collaborating within cross-functional Agile teams.
