Description de la fonction

As an Associate Scientist II I'm part of a team of biologists of the Janssen Oncology department. My job consists of supporting the Oncology in vivo group efforts in the characterization and development of small molecules and biologics including those that function as immune modulators for the treatment of cancer. I'm responsible for contributing to the ex vivo and in vivo studies for programs across the different stages of pre-clinical drug discovery.

Other responsibilities include the design and execution of in vivo studies for the validation and characterization of targets or therapeutic agents in the area of oncology and tumor immunology. Specifically, to establish and perform in vivo model development, target inhibition, efficacy, mechanism of action, and pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamics (PK/PD) biomarker studies, and will evaluate the influence of dose, schedule, and therapeutic combinations in various cancer models.


You are available from the second half of August 2026. You will replace a colleague due to pregnancy until May 2027.


Profil

  • Working knowledge of the use of Microsoft suite of software products including Excel and Word
  • Experience and knowledge of Good Clinical Practices and regulatory requirements for the conduct of clinical trials and for the appropriate contributions to regulatory filings
  • Fluent in written and spoken English & Dutch

* Assist with design, execution, interpretation and reporting for standard in vivo preclinical cancer models.

* Conduct methods of in vivo experimentation, including tumor implantation, dosing, proper handling of chemotherapeutics, tumor measurement, health monitoring, and data collection and analyses.

* Establish and perform in vivo model development.

* May perform bioluminescent imaging studies using molecular reporters or disseminated/ metastatic disease models.

* May assist to analyze data using appropriate statistical methods and preparing data for presentation-ready format.

* Some weekend, evening, and holiday dosing/ animal monitoring required.
