Shape the Architecture Behind Large-Scale Digital Transformation

Are you passionate about designing scalable, business-driven technology solutions? Do you enjoy bridging the gap between business objectives and technical implementation?

We are looking for an IT Solution Architect to join the architecture team of a leading international organization undergoing a major digital transformation. In this role, you will play a strategic part in defining solution architectures that support critical business initiatives while working alongside architects, product teams, and technology leaders.

This is an opportunity to influence the future architecture of a large enterprise operating in an Agile, cloud-first environment.

Your Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end solution architectures for strategic business initiatives and digital transformation projects.
• Translate business needs into scalable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions.
• Define application components, integrations, APIs, event-driven interactions, data flows, and cloud architectures using ArchiMate and architecture best practices.
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Software Engineers, DevOps teams, Business Analysts, and Enterprise Architects throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture standards, security principles, and long-term technology roadmaps.
• Define and validate both functional and non-functional requirements, including performance, scalability, security, and availability.
• Participate in architecture governance and Design Authority meetings to ensure the successful implementation of architectural decisions.
• Challenge existing processes and identify opportunities to simplify, modernize, and optimize business capabilities through innovative technology solutions.
• Contribute to the organization's cloud adoption strategy and application modernization initiatives.

 

Profil

Your Profile

• Master's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Solution Architect, Technical Architect, or in a similar architecture role.
• Strong understanding of application architecture, integration patterns, APIs, event-driven architecture, and enterprise systems.
• Experience designing cloud-based solutions, ideally within AWS environments.
• Knowledge of architecture modeling frameworks such as ArchiMate (or equivalent).
• Comfortable working in Agile delivery environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Curious, proactive, and passionate about emerging technologies and architectural best practices.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AWS cloud architecture and cloud-native solutions.
• Knowledge of microservices, event-driven architectures, and API management.
• Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF.
• Experience working in large enterprise or highly regulated environments.

Languages

• Fluent in French.
• Professional working proficiency in English.
• Good understanding of Dutch is considered a strong asset.
