Privacy and Compliancy Consultant
Location: Belgium (Fully Remote Possible)
Contract Type: Freelance or Permanent

• Professional working proficiency in Dutch and/or French (mandatory)

About the Role
We are looking for a Privacy and Compliancy Consultant to strengthen information security governance, support privacy and compliance initiatives, and ensure adherence to GDPR and other regulatory requirements.
You will work closely with business stakeholders, ICT teams and external partners to improve compliance processes, conduct audits, deliver security awareness initiatives and support the organization's information security and privacy strategy.
Key Responsibilities

• Support information security governance and privacy compliance initiatives
• Conduct audits and support the organization of compliance activities
• Advise on GDPR and other privacy laws and regulations
• Develop, implement and deliver security training and awareness campaigns
• Perform or support penetration testing and ethical hacking activities
• Organize and facilitate training programs
• Lead and coordinate teams of external stakeholders
• Support and coach employees on privacy and information security best practices
• Provide advice on ICT projects related to privacy, compliance and cybersecurity
• Organize and coordinate the distribution of work across assigned activities
• Produce high-quality technical documentation and audit reports

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Higher education degree or equivalent professional experience
• Professional experience in Privacy Management, Information Security Governance, Cybersecurity, Risk Management, Security Auditing or a similar role
• Good understanding of industry best practices such as ISO 27001, ISO 27005, NIST Cybersecurity Framework and CIS Controls
• Experience conducting security or compliance audits
• Experience organizing and managing compliance activities
• Knowledge of GDPR and other privacy laws and regulations, supported by relevant certification or diploma
• Experience implementing, managing and delivering security training and awareness programs
• Experience with penetration testing and ethical hacking
• Experience organizing and facilitating training programs
• Proven experience leading teams of external stakeholders
• Experience supporting and coaching employees
• Experience advising on ICT projects
• Knowledge of common software packages and business applications
• Excellent technical writing skills, including the preparation of audit reports and compliance documentation
• Professional proficiency in English and Dutch and/or French

ISO 27001, ISO 27005, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, CIS Controls, GDPR, Information Security Governance, Cybersecurity, Risk Management, Security Auditing, Penetration Testing, Ethical Hacking, ICT Project Support and Technical Documentation.
