As part of its continued development, our client is looking for a Quality Manager to strengthen its team in the Heist-op-den-Berg region.



Your role As Quality Manager, you will be responsible for the overall quality policy within your district. You will combine strong technical expertise with genuine leadership capabilities and work closely with Production, Operations, Sales and R&D teams. Your role will be both strategic and operational: you will be accountable for quality performance while remaining close to the sites, operations and teams. Your main responsibilities Quality Management Define, implement and continuously improve the quality management system across the district. Monitor internal and external audits, certifications and quality KPIs. Analyse quality data, identify root causes and implement improvement actions. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards. Product Quality & Concrete Technology Ensure the quality and compliance of manufactured products. Supervise and optimise concrete mix designs, finding the best balance between performance, quality and cost. Monitor raw materials, test results and product performance. Provide technical expertise and support to production teams, sales teams and customers. Handle technical customer queries and potential customer complaints. Continuous Improvement & Innovation Identify and lead initiatives aimed at improving processes and quality performance. Contribute to innovation projects and the development of new solutions. Support initiatives related to CO? reduction, circular materials and the development of more sustainable solutions. Promote a pragmatic approach to continuous improvement across the sites. People Management Manage, coach and develop a team of 6 employees, including Quality Engineers and laboratory staff. Provide structure and priorities while encouraging autonomy and accountability. Bring together a team working across different sites and promote the sharing of best practices. Develop team members' skills and support their professional growth. Quality & Safety Culture Act as an ambassador for the quality and safety culture across the different sites. Work closely with operational teams and help make quality a shared responsibility throughout the organisation.

Profil

Your profile You are a hands-on engineer who combines technical expertise and analytical thinking with the ability to bring people together. You have: A degree in Industrial or Civil Engineering, ideally in Construction, Materials or a related field. At least 5 years of relevant experience in quality management, concrete technology, construction or building materials. Experience in an industrial environment, ideally within the concrete, cement, aggregates or building materials industry. Solid previous experience in people management, with a coaching and development-oriented leadership approach. Good knowledge of quality management systems, audits, non-conformities and continuous improvement. A strong interest in concrete technology, innovation and process improvement. An analytical mindset combined with a pragmatic, solution-oriented approach. A strong customer focus and a good understanding of quality and cost considerations. Excellent communication and influencing skills. Training in Advanced Concrete Technology is considered a strong asset. Languages Dutch: excellent proficiency - essential French: good working knowledge English: basic knowledge
