C++ / Full Stack Developer (Hybrid: Leuven & Louvain-la-Neuve)

On behalf of our client, we are looking for a driven, pragmatic C++ Developer with a true can-do mindset. Are you someone who can and wants to take our team's performance to the next level, and do you thrive on the challenge of proactively modernizing existing systems? Then this role is for you!

About the Role

As a Senior Software Developer, you will join an environment with a rich history. You will work on existing (legacy) applications while being given the space and responsibility to proactively brainstorm and implement modernizations and improvements.
You will work in a hybrid model with a physical presence 2 days a week on-site:

• 1 day per week: Leuven
  
• 1 day per week: Louvain-la-Neuve (Boulevard de l'Europe 131, 1300 Wavre)
  
• Remaining days: Remote / Flexible
  

Your Profile

Must-Haves (Core Knowledge)

• Languages & Frameworks: Strong knowledge of C++, C# .NET, JavaScript, and HTML.
  
• Databases: Experience with MS SQL, Oracle, and SQL Migrations.
  
• Architecture & Integration: Knowledge of RESTful web services and message bus architectures (e.g., Hangfire or RabbitMQ).
  
• Language Skills: Fluency/strong knowledge of French is essential due to team interaction and the Louvain-la-Neuve location. Dutch is also a major asset.
  
• Mindset: Pragmatic, proactive, and comfortable working in legacy IT environments. You know how to maintain stability while driving innovation.
  

Nice-to-Haves (Bonus Points)

• Frontend frameworks such as React or Angular.
  
• Experience with WPF.
  
• Knowledge of Build Automation (CI/CD pipelines with TeamCity).
  
• Basic IT infrastructure knowledge: Windows Server, Active Directory (AD), and Azure.
