Description de la fonction
As a Policy Officer your responsibilities are:
- Monitor and analyse European and international policy, regulatory, and market developments relevant to consumers and businesses.
- Conduct research and provide evidence-based analysis on economic, regulatory, and market-related topics.
- Translate complex policy, economic, and regulatory information into clear recommendations and strategic insights.
- Support the development and implementation of advocacy, public affairs, and policy initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with policymakers, industry representatives, regulatory bodies, and other key stakeholders.
- Represent the organization in meetings, conferences, working groups, and external events.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maximize the impact of policy and advocacy activities.
- Prepare policy papers, briefing notes, position statements, and stakeholder communications.
- Support the planning and execution of stakeholder engagement activities and events.
- Identify emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities, and contribute innovative ideas to strengthen the organization's influence and impact.
Profil
A successful Policy Officer should have:
- Master's degree in Economics, Business, Public Policy, Political Science, or a related discipline.
- Relevant experience in public affairs, policy, advocacy, consultancy, regulatory affairs, or a comparable environment.
- Strong understanding of economic and market trends and their impact on consumers and businesses.
- Good knowledge of the European policy and regulatory landscape.
- Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics for different audiences.
- Proven ability to build relationships and engage effectively with senior stakeholders.
- Confident, proactive, and capable of representing an organization externally.
- Collaborative team player with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Fluent in English; additional European languages are considered an asset.
- Innovative and solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities and challenge conventional thinking.
