IT Project Manager - Network & Infrastructure

 

The Role

Our client, a major international organization operating in a complex and large-scale environment, is looking for an IT Project Manager with a strong Network orientation.

You will join an Infrastructure project management team environment and take ownership of several strategic infrastructure initiatives aimed at modernizing connectivity, strengthening security, and reducing technical debt across a distributed business landscape.

You will be accountable for the end-to-end delivery of one or multiple concurrent projects, managing scope, planning, resources, risks, stakeholders, quality, and outcomes.

Key Projects

The infrastructure roadmap includes several major initiatives:

• Network Connectivity Upgrade: Improve connectivity within a large distribution environment through the replacement and modernization of network devices.
• PKI Implementation: Deploy a Public Key Infrastructure to enable certificate-based authentication and strengthen device security and access control.
• SD-WAN / SASE Transformation: Upgrade the enterprise network architecture toward an SD-WAN/SASE framework, combining high-performance connectivity with cloud-native security.
• Network Modernization: Remove redundant systems and legacy configurations inherited from previous migrations, reducing technical debt and improving network security.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the full project lifecycle from initiation to delivery.
• Manage project scope, planning, budget, quality, resources, dependencies, and change.
• Coordinate one or multiple projects simultaneously.
• Manage internal and external stakeholders across technical and business teams.
• Prepare weekly status reports, Steering Committee presentations, and PMO Board updates.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues.
• Escalate blockers and drive timely resolution.
• Oversee testing phases and coordinate User Acceptance Testing with business teams.
• Functionally coordinate multidisciplinary teams of up to 5 members, including Business Analysts, developers, testers, and technical experts.
• Ensure alignment with PMO standards and IT Governance methodologies.
• Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Required Experience & Skills

• At least 5 years of experience in IT Project Management within a business or industry environment.
• Strong experience managing Network and/or Infrastructure projects.
• Good understanding of enterprise networking and infrastructure transformation topics.
• Exposure to technologies and concepts such as PKI, SD-WAN, SASE, network modernization, connectivity, and security.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including communication with senior management and executive stakeholders.
• Experience with project governance, reporting, risk management, and Steering Committees.
• Project Management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of current and emerging technologies.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.

Nice to Have

• SAP knowledge.
• Experience delivering infrastructure projects across multiple sites.
