For an international market leader in medical technology, we are looking for a Business Development Manager Africa. Based at the company's European headquarters in the Mechelen region, you will be responsible for driving commercial growth and expanding business opportunities across various African markets.
Business Development Identify new commercial opportunities across the African market Develop new business projects while strengthening the company's position in existing markets Initiate new partnerships and closely monitor ongoing projects to ensure successful execution Act as the main point of contact for all commercial activities within your assigned region Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, healthcare authorities, and other key stakeholders Drive sustainable business growth and contribute to the continued expansion of the organization Stakeholder Management & Project Coordination Organize regular meetings with internal and external stakeholders Work closely with departments such as Finance, Legal, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, and Technical Support Ensure the smooth execution of commercial projects while monitoring timelines and commitments Coordinate all involved parties to guarantee efficient project implementation Strategy & Budget Translate the commercial strategy into concrete actions within your assigned region Contribute to the expansion of the product portfolio Prepare and manage territory budgets, monitor performance, and report results to management Take full ownership of the commercial performance and business results within your territory
Profil
You hold a master's degree or have equivalent experience You have at least 4 years of experience in a business development or sales role within an international environment You are a strong relationship builder with a commercial mindset and excellent analytical skills You are fluent in English and French. Additional languages are considered an asset You are willing to travel internationally for approximately 30% of your time You are proactive, work independently, and thrive in a multicultural environment Nice to have: experience working within African marketsCompétences linguistiques
