Drive financial excellence and strategic growth as the next Head of Finance in the insurance sector, based in Brussels. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced finance professional to lead and shape the financial operations of a dynamic insurance organization, ensuring accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, and the strategic use of financial insights while fostering a high-performing finance team.

Your responsibilities as a Head of Finance : Supervise financial closings and regulatory reporting, ensuring full compliance with applicable laws and standards Collaborate with auditors, tax advisors, and regulators, integrating accounting, fiscal, and legal changes into daily operations Prepare budgets, forecasts, monitor profitability, and deliver strategic financial analyses with the development of management dashboards Manage daily treasury operations and monitor financial and real estate assets Lead the finance team, set objectives, support employee development, and optimize processes Drive cross-functional projects, supporting other departments in strategic decisions and the launch of new products

Jouw profiel

About the candidate : You hold a Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Management, with additional specialization in taxation or insurance as a plus; certification as a chartered accountant is advantageous You have 7-10 years of finance experience, ideally in the insurance sector, including familiarity with Solvency II requirements You have proven team leadership experience and a strong understanding of Belgian accounting and fiscal regulations You are proficient in ERP systems (Agresso, SAP, or equivalent), Power BI, and advanced Excel. You speak professional-level Dutch and French You demonstrate strategic vision, a hands-on approach, organizational excellence, and leadership with a coaching style You are resilient under pressure, able to communicate complex matters clearly, and possess strong analytical and pragmatic skills Key success factors : Timely and accurate reporting with no major audit findings Effective management of budget variances Continuous improvement and automation of processes Maintaining a stable, motivated, and committed finance team
