Context

Our client in Brussels is driving a major digital transformation and global cloud security standardisation. We seek a confirmed senior AWS DevSecOps / Cloud Security Engineer to implement NIS2-compliant security controls across AWS environments.

Key responsibilities

• Implement AWS-native security controls defined by the Cloud Security Architect.
• Ensure NIS2 compliance: IAM, backups, vulnerability management, documentation.
• Collaborate with cloud, security, identity, patching, backup, and vulnerability teams across international entities.
• Design secure, cost-optimised AWS solutions.
• Build new AWS DevSecOps capabilities using native AWS components.

Mandatory requirements

• Senior-level AWS Security expertise (hands-on, production environments)
• Experience with AWS modular architecture and design patterns
• Guardduty, Security Hub, AWS Backup, KMS & secrets, IAM / Privileged Access Management, AWS patching, vulnerability remediation
• Knowledge of NIS2 requirements
• Ability to secure AWS against DDoS, ransomware, and cloud threats
• AWS cost optimisation capability
• Full autonomy, immediate operational capability (no training)

Soft skills & languages

• Autonomous, solution-oriented, proactive
• Strong communication in English (mandatory)
• Comfortable in large, multicultural environments
